Open Houses and Immersions in Innovation
Open Houses and Immersions offer a taste of Olin. These shorter-term opportunities invite visitors to learn about what we do at Olin and how our programs might be adapted/adopted elsewhere. This may be paired with a short, customized needs definition workshop at which participants are be encouraged to identify opportunities for further collaboration and co-design. Previous programs have included Problem Solving in STEM Teaching, Interdisciplinary Integration and Project Based Learning, Design Thinking, Engaging Student Motivation, and Engineers as Innovators.
Open houses debuted with Olin in Action Day, in April, 2009, and are held periodically each academic year. Fall 2012 dates will be announced shortly.
For a small honorarium, more tailored, customized visits and programs to learn about Olin are also an option.
